WWE is moving SmackDown Live to Fox on October 4th, but there might be a more noticeable difference than just the network and day of the week the blue brand is airing on.

Wrestle Votes reports that WWE is testing out newer technology that is very expensive as well. These tests have apparently gone well so we might expect more of a cinematic feel to SmackDown Live on Fox.

When the move to FOX happens, expect SmackDown to be shot with different cameras. WWE tested out some newer, much more expensive technology recently and said to have liked what it produced. It will seem cinematic like, similar to some WWE24 footage.

We previously reported that Fox was wanting to try out new cameras for WWE programming. It seems like they are right on track with this new technology.

Giving WWE a different feel when they’re on Fox might be a very good idea. It will not only help differentiate the brands, but it will also present a new feel to the product. Perhaps the WWE 24 feel might be appearing more often in October, but we’ll have to wait and see how it ends up working for an entire show.
