WWE has to be a difficult place to work backstage. It can also get extremely frustrating for a writer because not only can Vince McMahon come in and hack up a script, but he can also fire you at any minute.

We’ve heard stories about how McMahon fires writers and producers for lot of reasons. Now it looks like two more WWE writers are gone from the company.

Pro Wrestling Sheet reports SmackDown co-lead writer Steve Guerreri and Raw lead writer Steve Oppenheim were let go last week. Both had been with WWE since 2011 and 2012 respectively which are impressive tenures with the company. Oppenheim also worked in WWE’s HQ in Stamford.

These two terminations were reportedly not involving Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff at all. As we previously reported, Bischoff didn’t even get started with the company until this week.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
