While it’s somewhat unusual to see WWE stars commenting on what is happening in All Elite Wrestling, it doesn’t seem as if the same is true for AEW stars who want to talk about what’s going on in WWE.
It’s kind of a weird situation for fans of both companies, that actually work for one of them, to be in. On the one hand you could risk losing your job, but then on the other, there’s a good chance nothing will be said about it.
One man who is more than happy to discuss what is happening ‘over there’ is Shawn Spears, formerly known as Tye Dillinger, who appeared to be tuning into what was going on between Cesaro and Aleister Black in their Extreme Rules showdown last night.
It truly is great to see him give that kind of admiration to a WWE superstar in a public manner, as opposed to staying in character on social media and openly criticizing them (although he did get in a dig on the fans, which is hardly surprising).
Cesaro and Black put on one hell of a show last night, and the fact that all corners of the wrestling world were tuning in to see it makes the whole thing even better.
Nobody really knows what kind of direction this whole AEW vs. WWE rivalry is going to go in, and for now, that’s okay. At the very least, we’re just excited to see whether or not we get any more interactions such as this one.
