AEW has a lot of very important decisions to make as they continue building the company. They haven’t even debuted on TNT yet, but they already have a ton of attention. This is why some fans thought it was concerning when they pulled Shawn Spears from a gig that he booked before signing with All Elite Wrestling.

We previously reported that due to travel complications Shawn Spears was being pulled from the Limitless Wrestling event in Portland Maine on July 12th. This sparked a little bit of outrage, and apparently, the controversy was enough to make AEW change their minds.

Limitless sent out an Instagram update informing fans that Shawn Spears is back on the show after being previously pulled.

We’ve got some outstanding news to share before the night closes. @allelitewrestling has now cleared Shawn Spears to appear and participate in the 2019 Vacationland Cup THIS FRIDAY in Portland! We can’t thank AEW enough for approving this one day ahead of their upcoming event in Jacksonville!

It is a very wise move for AEW to allow Shawn Spears to take part in this indie event. All Elite Wrestling needs to establish a close relationship with fans while they can and preventing him from attending the show might not have been the best look for them.

Now Shawn Spears will have a busy travel day before Fight For The Fallen, but it was probably well worth it so he can fulfill this previous obligation.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
