Paul Heyman is now the new Executive Director of RAW. This is a great position for a mind like Heyman’s to be in, but there are always going to be detractors.

One positive Heyman has is the fact that he knows the current WWE product. This can not be understated when it comes to importance because he needs to know this in order to run the operation behind the scenes.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the reaction to Heyman’s new role in WWE have “been mixed.” Some view Heyman as a “creative genius and a master manipulator” who the company could really use right now. While others are concerned about his age.

There are still questions regarding age, when the key hole in the formula is reaching the young audience.

Paul Heyman is more in touch than most, but it is also important to remember that Brock Lesnar’s Advocate is only 53-years-old. This is 20 years younger than Vince McMahon. So the question of him not being able to relate to a younger audience might be valid, but it is greatly lessened when thought about in that respect.

Not only is Heyman aware of WWE’s product, but he is also involved in a lot of projects outside of WWE that relate to a younger demographic as well. After spending so much time behind the scenes in WWE he can probably pinpoint a lot of things that needs to be changed and he just might be able to pull it off.

We will just have to see how things turn out in the Paul Heyman Era, but we’re certainly willing to give him a shot.
