Maria Kanellis really is pregnant and she let the world know about it on RAW this week. This was a bit of a shock because both she and Mike Kanellis signed new five-year WWE contracts worth $250,000 each per year, but fans weren’t the only ones who were surprised by this news.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter confirmed that WWE didn’t know that Maria Kanellis was pregnant when the new WWE contracts were signed. However, Maria reportedly didn’t know about it either. In fact, when she did find out about it, they quickly booked an angle to reveal it on television.
It is true that when Mike & Maria just recently signed new five-year deals, the office wasn’t aware of the pregnancy, but they didn’t know until after signing the deal either.
Therefore, when they found out about the pregnancy the angle with Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins was reportedly booked right away. They handled this situation to the best of their ability because Maria obviously can’t compete on television.
We will just have to wait and see how WWE handles the rest of Maria’s storyline with Mike Kanellis because they seemed to leave a huge opening to continue this angle after she emasculated him as she did on RAW this week.
