Chris Jericho has a lot of people in NJPW that he could be facing during this run, but it appears that his next opponent has already been set up.

At the end of Dominion, Chris Jericho jumped Kazuchika Okada after their main event match. Y2J wasn’t able to win the IWGP World Heavyweight Title, but he didn’t end the night without causing as much damage as possible.

A table was set up outside the ring during their match, but they didn’t break it. Then after the contest was over, Jericho attempted to put Okada through the table after delivering a ton of punishment with a steel chair.

However, before Y2J could put Okada through the table, Hiroshi Tanahashi jumped the barricade and stopped him. Tanahashi fought Jericho off and Y2J left after cutting an angry promo.

Tanahashi was on commentary during the main event match at Dominion, but he was also there to help jump-start Jericho’s next program in NJPW.

It wouldn’t be a bit surprising if New Japan Pro Wrestling is setting up Jericho vs Tanahashi next which certainly checks off another match Chris Jericho wanted to have.
