Vince McMahon has a lot of plans and he sometimes won’t let go of things even if they don’t work out the first time.

Neville arrived in WWE with a cape and a Mighty Mouse character that he thankfully dropped for The King Of The Cruiserweights moniker. However, Vince McMahon apparently tried again with the Might Mouse idea.

Henry Cejudo is an Olympic gold medalist and current UFC Flyweight Champion. Apparently, Vince McMahon saw his 5-foot 4-inch frame and wanted to make Cejudo his new Mighty Mouse.

Sean Sapp explained the great irony behind it all on Fightful’s RAW Post Show.

“You want to know what’s interesting about Henry Cejudo? You know how Vince McMahon always wanted so bad a Mighty Mouse character? That was the guy that WWE recruited to be that Mighty Mouse character.”

“It was Henry Cejudo, they recruited him the irony being that Vince McMahon so badly wanted to market this Mighty Mouse character Henry Cejudo to become UFC Flyweight Champion beat UFC’s own Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson who they refused to market! So UFC has the Mighty Mouse that WWE has always wanted and he’s been replaced by the Mighty Mouse that WWE literally wanted.”

Vince McMahon might still be looking for his Mighty Mouse character so someone better warn Marko Stunt quick.

In all honesty, Henry Cejudo probably dodged a real bullet there because a Mighty Mouse character would be a hard way to get over unless you’re Andy Kaufman lip-syncing the theme song on SNL. Now Cejudo can continue on a very successful UFC career while he doesn’t have to date Nikki Bella.
