Kofi Kingston is the current WWE Champion and ready to go to Saudi Arabia to defend his title against Dolph Ziggler this Friday at the Super ShowDown event, but he’s not finished with his previous trip just yet.
Kingston visited his home country of Ghana after being gone for 25 years. Needless to say, he received an incredible reception and had great time as he was treated like a mega celebrity.
It appears Kofi Kingston will miss tonight’s SmackDown Live in Texas because he is still in Ghana wrapping up his homecoming tour. He has a WWE camera crew with him as well so they are documenting this entire journey for him.
Update: Kofi WILL be there tonight. So it looks like he flew back in time. He will be teaming with Xavier Woods to take on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn on tonight’s show.
