Io Shirai went to war with Shayna Baszler last night, but even though she came up short Baszler ended up getting a massive post-match beat down. After her NXT TakeOver: XXV performance, Io’s Sky Pirates partner Kairi Sane sent out a post to let us know that Shirai is also a great friend.

Kairi Sane experienced a very scary experience where she went into prophylactic shock. Io Shirai didn’t leave her side the entire time and the Kabuki Warrior member thanks Io for helping her be who she is today.
Actually a few months ago, I went to the ER due to anaphylactic shock. I was able to overcome it because my best friend, @shirai_io helped me.
She held my hand in the ambulance and continued to encourage me. It’s thanks to you that I am who I am today
Io and Kairi are no longer with each other every day, but their friendship is obviously still going strong. Hopefully, they will meet again someday in the ring, but you never know what can happen in WWE.
