Roman Reigns’ Expected SummerSlam Opponent Revealed

Roman Reigns returned from a medical hiatus after his leukemia was put back in remission and everyone was happy to hear it. In an attempt to keep him as a babyface WWE soon placed Reigns in a feud with a heel that is certain to get heat: Shane McMahon.

Reigns vs McMahon has been ongoing for a while and they have a match in Saudi Arabia, but they can’t battle forever. After the Super ShowDown event WWE is currently advertising Roman vs Shane and Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules. However, Reigns’ opponent following WWE’s July pay-per-view could already be lined up for him.

We have heard rumblings that Roman Reigns will enter a program with Randy Orton and it is expected that the two will battle through SummerSlam. Therefore, it looks like Reigns will have another opponent soon enough.

We will have to wait and see how that turns out. Things with The Viper could get very interesting especially considering the fact that his contract is up in December and he hasn’t been shy about the fact that he is willing to talk to AEW to see what they might be able to offer.
