Elias Wins First Title In WWE

Elias came up from NXT as “The Drifter” Elias Samson. He dropped the nickname and soon lost his last name, but Elias picked up a title on SmackDown Live tonight.

Shane McMahon showed up for “Shane McMahon Appreciation Night.” Elias and Drew McIntyre flanked him on either side as they continued to put Shane McMahon over.

Elias had a song for McMahon, but then R-Truth jumped over the barricade as he was chased by Drake Maverick and surprisingly, Truth slid in the ring to hit a slam on Maverick and defeat the 205 Live GM.

Suddenly, McIntyre and Elias beat R-Truth down. Elias hit a Drift Away and Drew McIntyre nailed a Claymore Kick before Elias scored a pinfall over R-Truth to win the 24/7 Title.

This marks Elias’ first title in WWE and he seemed very happy to hold it above his head.

This title reign was very short lived as Roman Reigns assisted R-Truth in winning his title back before the end of the night.
