CM Punk knows how to get the rumor mill going. He doesn’t have to work very hard nowadays, especially with the pro wrestling landscape always opening up new opportunities to throw out some kind of tease.

The Second City Savior didn’t help matters when it comes to his pro wrestling return as he returned while wearing mask on 4/20 to deliver a GTS during an indie show.

AEW is opening their doors, but that doesn’t mean CM Punk will be on board. Of course, Tony Khan wanted CM Punk before any of The Elite got on board, but that’s another story.

Punk recently replied to an online communication by saying “OMG AEW CONFIRMED.” This was not confirming CM Punk’s arrival in AEW, but it did certainly accomplished some great trolling.

We will just have to wait and see if CM Punk does end up eventually calling AEW his home. He doesn’t seem to be leaning that direction as his MMA commentary career is picking up and he seems to be focusing on other aspirations. In fact, he’s already booked on the night of Double Or Nothing for commentating gig.

In the meantime, All Elite Wrestling is still very likely an open door if he would like to pursue a return to pro wrestling.
