You never know what can happen in WWE and Vince McMahon’s decision-making skills are certainly something interesting to behold. The War Raiders were called up to the WWE main roster where they were known as the Viking Experience for a little bit until fans complained a lot about that name change. They soon became the Viking Raiders, but whatever you call Erik/Rowe and Ivar/Hanson they were still the NXT Tag Team Champions.

The Viking Raiders showed up to start off the NXT television tapings and cut a promo as champions. William Regal came out and they said that nobody could defeat them as champions so they are relinquishing the titles.

Then the Street Profits came out and a match was set up for later on. We won’t spoil everything just in case you want some surprise (see our full spoilers if that’s not the case), but in the end, The War Raiders ended up leaving their titles in the ring.

Ivar and Erik’s time in NXT is done and the Viking Raiders are full-time WWE Superstars now from the looks of it. Their time in NXT might have ended far too soon, but they worked very hard to get there. They also made a very big impression in the meantime that will be hard to follow.
