AEW needed a librarian character. Tony Khan wanted this and in the Being The Elite series it has been a focal point of the show. Because there has never been a librarian character in pro wrestling before and AEW wants to be the first.

Leva Bates was one of many people who put in an audition tape for the role. She was ultimately chosen to play the part.

Bates might be known as her role in NXT where she played “Blue Pants.” Enzo Amore hyped Blue Pants so much that she was quite over without ever being signed. Blue Pants would try, but Carmella seemed to best her as Bates was an enhancement talent.

Leva Bates is also famous for her cosplaying efforts as well and has gained a substantial fan base which is something that AEW needed with their librarian.

Now Leva Bates is AEW and she is a very fine addition to the roster. You can check out her audition video below to get a sneak peek on how she’ll probably be playing that role.

It was also announced that Peter Avalon will be playing The Librarian role as well. He was seen in last week’s episode of BTE shushing some members of The Elite.

The 30-year-old Nevada native has wrestled all around the West Coast and obviously made a name for himself. He is known for his charismatic promo work as well as his in-ring ability. Obviously, he met The Elite’s criteria.
