WrestleMania was a huge event. They claimed a record attendance for the event and made a ton of money. Even though $16.9 million is a truckload of cash, it still didn’t top the highest earning WrestleMania in history, but it was nowhere close to the Saudi Arabia deal.

Brandon Howard Thurston reports that WrestleMania 35 didn’t make as much as the event did in 2016 where they racked in $18.3 million. However, there is an obvious reason why they keep going back to Saudi Arabia.

Because WWE earned around $75 million from Saudi Arabia last year. The WWE Crown Jewel event brought in around $25 million of that total. Therefore, the KSA deal is still more valuable to WWE than WrestleMania.

It is important to note that not including any bought shows that WrestleMania 35 is still the second highest grossing pro wrestling event in history. So those aren’t shabby numbers at all.
