WrestleMania is less than 3 weeks away right now and they still don’t have an IC Title match booked for the grandest stage of them all. We will have to wait and see where the company goes from here, but they didn’t make much momentum on last night’s RAW in cementing a match.

Dave Meltzer discussed the current Intercontinental Title picture during Wrestling Observer Radio. At this point, WWE seems to be headed toward a simpler battle in MetLife Stadium for the IC Title.

“What we don’t know is the status of the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania it could be Lashley and Finn Balor, but you would think that usually at WrestleMania you want to do matches that haven’t been done before and that match has been done a lot.”

“At first I was like, oh they’re to put Braun Strowman in this but then they made it clear that Strowman’s going in the battle royal he was the first guy to announce that.”

It will be interesting to see how WWE books the IC Title defense at WrestleMania. They might need to introduce more players in the storyline that can compete in the match if they plan on making it a multi-man match like WWE has been known to do with secondary titles at the show of shows. At this point, we have Bobby Lashley vs Finn Balor who might make this match appropriate as a singles by coming out as The Demon.
