Randy Orton competed in a Gauntlet match on WWE SmackDown Live this week and he won. It was nothing compared to Kofi Kingston’s time in the match for over an hour, but The Viper emerged victoriously.

With Orton’s quick win it actually cemented him in WWE History. A Randy Orton fan account on Twitter dug up the following statistic and posted it to get The Viper’s attention.

“With tonights quick match v AJ Styles tonight @RandyOrton has now moved into sole possession of 3rd Place(breaking tie with Chris Jericho) for most TV matches in WWF/E history over the past 48 years with now 746 of them. Next stop for 2nd is The Big Show with 798.”

That is pretty impressive and at Randy Orton’s work rate, he will certainly be nipping at The Big Show’s heels soon enough. He doesn’t even have to win in order to continue racking up the stats in that regard so more power to Orton as he continues in WWE.
