Why Stephanie McMahon Suspended Becky Lynch From WWE

WWE knows how to get someone over, but they have their favorite ways of getting the job done. Stephanie McMahon suspending Becky Lynch on RAW this week sent pretty clear message.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE’s plan is for Steph to be a heel in this program. It looks like they are building toward another “Austin/McMahon” situation or as close as they can come to it in 2019.

“The idea very much is when this gets going that Stephanie is a heel and they are doing — it is the beginning of kind of a Stephanie in a heel thing trying to hold down Becky because they only know one way to do this.”

WWE got “Stone Cold” Steve Austin over like gangbusters because he feuded with Vince McMahon. They tried the same thing with Ronda Rousey and Stephanie McMahon in the build to WrestleMania last year as well. Therefore, it looks like Lynch vs McMahon could be on the horizon.
