New Japan Pro Wrestling announced dates in the United States from late January to early February, however, they have run into a big problem with getting work visa for their Japanese stars. This has led NJPW to figure out some big problems as they have not even announced cards for their impending events.

NJPW has three shows in the USA coming up very soon. Their current mini-tour includes January 30th in Los Angeles, February 1st in Charlotte, and another on February 2nd in Nashville. At this time the company will not be able to deliver some big promoted names for these events.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that a number of visas were applied for in November with the expectation that they would be ready in time. However, that is not the case.

“But even today, the visas haven’t been processed so they were waiting to announce the cards.”

This is a very interesting situation for NJPW as they suffer the effects of the recent United States government shutdown. At this time there is also no end in sight for this shutdown either.

We are not getting into politics, but this story does have a lot to do with the current situation in Washington DC. Due to the shutdown, New Japan Pro Wrestling is forced to figure out an alternative for their upcoming sold-out shows stateside.
