There aren’t many people who have worked harder to get onto 205 Live than Buddy Murphy. He had to drop 25 pounds, but it paid off in a big way when he became the WWE Cruiserweight Champion in his hometown during WWE’s Super Show-Down.
Buddy Murphy spoke to Lilian Garcia on Chasing Glory where she shared a very plausible theory of what might happen at the Royal Rumble. She also explained why she thinks Murphy will lose his title in Phoenix because WWE has bigger plans for him.
“So I was thinking about this 205 Live, there’s something about it that’s really come to life and you’re Cruiserweight Champion and you’re getting ready to go to Royal Rumble now and have a fatal four-way. Who knows what’s going to happen?”
“I’m going to give you my two cents […] The way I see this mapping out kind of. I have a feeling you’re going to drop the belt and the reason why is I have a feeling you’re going to be going to Raw or SmackDown sometime soon.”
Buddy Murphy didn’t reveal any plans, but he did discuss the journey he went on to become a member of the 205 Live roster. It wasn’t easy, but he is now on top of 205 Live for a reason
Only time will tell if Murphy will be the next 205 Live Superstar to make a jump to Raw or SmackDown Live, but Lilian Garcia certainly thinks it is a big possibility.
