Interesting Theory On Next #1 Contender In WWE

WWE is a neverending story and they need constant challengers for championships. 205 Live doesn’t have a #1 contender right now and that needs to change.
At this point, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy is without a #1 contender since winning at WWE TLC. He will need someone to face at the Royal Rumble and that decision needs to be made eventually.
Mike Johnson noted on PW Insider Elite audio that he has an interesting theory on who might be challenging Murphy next on 205 Live. It was said that Drake Maverick could be very interesting choice and he’s got a point.
As Rockstar Spud, Maverick was a very good worker for Impact Wrestling after coming in from the British Bootcamp they did. He had some great comedy, but Spud could also work in the ring.
We’ll have to wait and see which way WWE decides to go with things, but Drake Maverick has been around in WWE long enough that it’s about time they let him actually wrestle.
