Sami Zayn suffered an unexpected injury during a match with John Cena on RAW a few months ago. Since then, he required two rotator cuff surgeries. He had to have them six weeks apart from each other because you need a functional arm.
Zayn revealed on Talk Is Jericho that he was successful in making the switch between arms for his personal hygiene needs. However, it is quite concerning to the former NXT Champion how little he misses his job.

“I know wrestling fans don’t wanna hear this but I’ve been loving being off. You know? I think wrestling fans want to hear, ‘I can’t wait to get back and I miss everything.’ I don’t miss anything.”
“I’m not trying to sound like — I don’t miss it yet. Dude, I’m like a little not concerned, but surprised of how little I’ve missed it.”

He last wrestled on June 19th and he doesn’t miss it at all. WWE aired a promo saying Sami Zayn would be back soon, but Zayn noted that he still needs a couple of months before he’ll be cleared to compete. Hopefully, he’ll start to miss it and come back with some kind of drive so he can get back to wrestling near the top of the card at least.
