WWE has a lot of people on their roster, but LAX could really be the kind of team that might get WWE over in the Hispanic market in Vince McMahon’s eyes. But at this time, both Santana and Ortiz are signed under contract with Impact Wrestling.
EVOLVE recently publicized a match between LAX and the Street Profits but then the match was pulled. Mike Johnson noted on PW Insider Radio could reasons why Impact Wrestling might have made that decision, but  Dave Scherer interjected another good point.
The thinking was that Impact Wrestling wanted to keep LAX away from WWE’s radar as much as possible. Johnson noted that LAX’s contracts with Impact Wrestling are up in a couple of months so this could have played into the decision.
If I were a betting man a team like LAX could get over in WWE, especially if they spent some time in NXT working with those veterans before working on the main roster.
