Elias interrupted Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, and Bobby Lashley’s victory celebration on RAW this week and this resulted in a match.
Bobby Lashley and Elias fought each other in a match that saw Elias getting a ton of cheers from the crowd. It looks like Elias’ sudden babyface turn has worked out as he popped the crowd had on his comeback.
Then Lio Rush pulled the referee out of the ring after an elbow drop from Elias and Baron Corbin made the match no DQ after the referee called for the bell.
This resulted in a beatdown by Corbin, McIntyre, and Lashley after Elias got a little heat back and got his guitar. But Lashley just stomped Elias’ guitar and then they demolished him around the ring and tossed him back in the ring to get pinned very easily by Bobby Lashley.
It looks like this might have been WWE’s attempt at pushing Elias even further up the totem pole on Raw. With Roman Reigns out of action due to leukemia and Braun Strowman out of action for possibly longer than first expected, WWE is possibly priming Elias for another role and it could be a highlight spot on the card.
