WWE has a full roster but there is always room for amazing talent when they have the need. EC3 came into NXT and although he’s been impressive and has the same skills on the microphone as he used to in TNA, it seems like he hasn’t done all that much.
Apparently, the reason could be because EC3 was earmarked for a main roster call-up so he wasn’t factored into any other plans. But as Mike Johnson speculated on PW Insider Elite audio we might have gotten EC3 on the main roster following SummerSlam if he didn’t get a concussion in his match at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV.

“Obviously they announced Lars Sullivan. I always hear EC3 is kinda on the precipice of an eventual call-up. I still believe and nobody has told me this outright. But I’m under the impression that had he not gotten the concussion SummerSlam weekend, he probably would have been brought up right around SummerSlam time. Now they’ve gotta wait until they figure out a spot for him. That’s kinda the impression I got.”
“It all has to do with when Vince is ready for somebody and whether Triple H is ready to let them go or not. So you can’t rush everyone up at once. I really think the entire makeup of NXT is going to change in the upcoming year as there is more talk of international satellite versions of that company showing up.”

If I were a betting man we will see EC3 on the main roster eventually. Hopefully, he will be used well considering his ability to tell a story in the ring and in his promos. But you never know what could transpire in WWE, because apparently his main roster call-up was stalled thanks to an unfortunate injury.
