Chad Gable was part of American Alpha alongside Jason Jordan and they were one of the most exciting acts in NXT to watch in the ring. People had huge hopes for Gable and Jordan when they were called up to the main roster but history has told what really happened. Gable never disappoints in the ring still to this day, but he’s in a strange team with Bobby Roode meanwhile, Jason Jordan is unfortunately still out of action with a neck injury since late last year.
One bright spot for Chad Gable took place when he faced AJ Styles to give the fans a big 4th of July surprise last year. This happened to be the gear Mattel chose to make a basic figure out of which Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins picked as their WTF Figure of the week on The Major Wrestling Figure podcast. When discussing his gear during his match with AJ Styles, he wonders why Mattel picked that singlet because his spotlight match against the WWE Champion led to nothing.

“I have worn gear with those colors but not come across like that and you know it looks a lot cooler, it’s like Haloween style. I had one match and to be fair, it was against AJ [Styles] and it was one of the best matches I’ve had on the main roster but also it didn’t really have any significance in the long-run so I don’t know how this was the one that got chosen.”
“Because we do have some other pretty dope singlets that have not been made yet. This is a basic figure to be fair.”

When a conversation comes up about who might be best suited to take off on the indies to find themselves and come back again after they’re a main event star on their own, Chad Gable’s name is certainly brought up on a regular basis. He took AJ Styles to the limit but then, meh.
But if you’d like to relive that moment of getting our hopes up that they’re finally going to push Chad Gable, you can pick up this action figure.
