Shelton Benjamin was just trying to make a statement about people who flock airports, arenas, and other places looking for autographs — especially the ones with kids. They will stand around for hours with a handful of Pop Vinyl figures and 8x10s looking to snag a WWE Superstar autograph for their eBay account, no matter if it is raining or not.
The former US Champion simply said that if you’re one of those people making your young child stand in the rain next to you while you’re looking for autographs then maybe you need to rethink your priorities. But then Mia Yim commented to goad Shelty a little bit.
“You say that like people actually want your autograph,” she replied.
Benjamin said, “You say that like you’ll ever have kids,” and that might have been the end of it if it weren’t for one reply from Yim that she had loaded up and couldn’t help but fire it. “Beats having to pay child support.. you know the struggle,” she said.
So far the two haven’t communicated on Twitter since. It looks like Mia Yim fired the final shot in that back-and-forth.
