Jason Jordan is way more than Kurt Angle’s illegitimate son. He is a former Tag Team Champion across the board and the first man to hold the NXT, SmackDown, and Raw Tag Team Titles — then he was taken out of injury just when things were picking up for him.
As we previously reported, WWE had something really special for Jordan at WrestleMania and it would have launched him to a new level as a singles star, but a neck injury sidelined him and even after surgery he’s still not around.
Jordan is now working backstage for WWE, but he’s not been cleared to compete. Dave Meltzer was asked about his status update during Wrestling Observer Radio where he didn’t have the best news to report.

“I don’t know that he’s done but the fact that you don’t hear much about him it’s not good. It’s for sure not good. He’s still — didn’t he lose his grip strength in one of his hands. I guess they’re hoping he gets it back but it’s still a pretty serious injury.”

Therefore, reports that Jordan might never be cleared for an in-ring return very well might have some major weight to them at this point. He will remain out of action until it is deemed that it won’t be a risk for him to compete and with a neck injury — especially when he doesn’t have much of a grip in one of his hands, it could be a sign of something really wrong which could prohibit him from ever competing again.
