WWE has come under a lot of fire over the recent situation with Saudi Arabia and their 10-year deal with the company. It’s been reported that WWE officials were scrambling to find a possible new location for Crown Jewel — after all, the event is happening on November 2nd which is just a week from Friday.
Tickets haven’t gone on sale at the proposed venue in Saudi Arabia either as Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the Saudis were told the event might not happen at all. They know why as well, because it’s pretty hard to deny what happened right before a bunch of other companies pulled out of Saudi and huge deals with the oil-rich country.
But the Saudis are a very smart ally to have and the USA knows it — however, it might cause WWE to relocate the event due to such pressure.
Barnburner reports they have been hearing that WWE has made the decision of relocating the Crown Jewel event and they’re moving it to the USA. The thought right now is the New York City market might be one of their top choices.
Nothing has been confirmed 100%, but we will keep you updated as soon as any updates are made available.
