Roman Reigns started off Raw this week in a way he never thought he would have to. He announced that his leukemia had come back that he’s been fighting for 11 years and he had to go home to beat it. Then he relinquished the WWE Universal Title.
It was a very sad moment and all parts of WWE felt the impact of this announcement. They even had hard time keeping it together at the Raw announce table.
But Daniel Bryan wrote: “I’ve never seen the air sucked out of the locker room like it was tonight. Our thoughts and prayers are with Roman and his family.” So it seems that this huge announcement rocked both main roster locker rooms.
As WWE carries on without Reigns, they will have to fill his spot. But there will always be a place for him once he beats the disease that cost him the Universal Title for possibly the greatest comeback story since Daniel Bryan’s own road back to the ring.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
