Backstage Opinion Of Shawn Michaels’ In-Ring Return

It looks like Shawn Michaels will be officially breaking his retirement at WWE’s Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia in November, but apparently, the feeling backstage is that HBK might be making a mistake.
Brad Shepard noted on Barnburner’s No Holds Barred podcast that the report he’s received backstage isn’t too supportive of The Showstopper’s in-ring return.

“I was talking to a source in WWE who brought up some interesting things I just wanted to share. Talking about specifically about the Crown Jewel show and Shawn Michaels’ return and this is the feedback I got from someone in WWE and I’m just going to say it: ‘Frankly, I don’t want him back and I shake my head at him breaking his retirement for this.”

It was also noted that the addition of HBK to Crown Jewel will help the Saudi Arabia show big time because those fans over there are much more connected to the older product than fans in the USA.
