SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch was recently a guest on CBS Local Sports where she revealed a strategy she has used her entire career for big matches. This strategy has helped shape her into the woman she is today.
The SmackDown Live Superstar explained that she does a lot of journaling in order to visualize how certain segments and matches should go- particularly when it comes to big matches.

“For me, it’s a lot of centering myself. It’s a lot of journaling, writing, and visualization, picturing how I want tomorrow to go. I usually do that before any big match- sit down with [a] journal; imagine [and] walk myself through all the different steps and hopefully bring it to life. Usually, it works.”

For clarification, big matches as it pertains to Lynch could be any match on PPV, RAW, SmackDown Live, NXT, and those WWE Network specials. This would exclude live events, as they are often seen as fun events to play with the crowd.
Continuing, Lynch confirms that this is something she has done her entire career and has helped her in some rather serious ways as she translates this to her live performances.

“Yeah, absolutely. I’ve been journaling my whole life and I think when you write it down on paper it just clears everything up, you know? You’re able to picture it better. So, for me, because I am just generally a high-energy, strong person- so I just kind of need to kind of bring myself down to just like…clear everything else out and visualize the task at hand.”

Lynch is likely to defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship or be involved in the Evolution PPV on October 28 from Uniondale, New York. The card is already beginning to take shape, with the recent addition of an NXT Women’s Championship title defense.
