Johnny Gargano is a Superstar who has overcome adversity with every passing week during his tenure in WWE. While his feud with NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa may cloud his mind, the former NXT Tag Team Champion holds dear to his roots.
Twitter user Kelly Clements, who goes by the handle @mrsclemo11 tweeted at Gargano showcasing him a photo of her son’s homework, which was based on the NXT Superstar. The homework seemed to have a focus on inspirational figures.
The child showcased a picture of the NXT Superstar and had the following to say:

“Johnny Gargano is my inspiration because when he wrestles he overcomes the odds and I do that sometimes with bullies and when they bully my friends I will fight for my friends like Johnny Gargano does for his friends and to the bullies in NXT.”

Of course, Gargano is no stranger to the world of bullies. Besides his feud with Ciampa, Gargano has had to deal with Superstars such as Andrade “Cien” Almas, The Authors of Pain, The Revival and The Undisputed Era. All of these talents could be considered bullies.
Replying to both the parent and the child, Gargano explained that this goes hand in hand as children like Clements’ son are his inspiration. He also thanked Clements for sharing.
