WWE surprised a few people when they announced the 2018 Starrcade event and the location was not in the Carolinas. Cincinnati Ohio will be the home of the next WWE Starrcade event on November 26th and tickets go on sale on September 21st.
But the looming question is whether or not WWE will air the Starrcade event from the US Bank arena this year. Since they didn’t air it last year, that might up the possibility that they will follow suite, but as Mike Johnson explained on PW Insider Elite audio, there are a couple telltale signs that WWE might be planning on airing the event as a special on the WWE Network this time around.

“I also asked if Starrcade would be airing on the WWE Network on November 26th and my gut feeling is that maybe it will. Because the primary top ticket is $315 for ringside seats at a price they don’t charge that big of a premium for ringside seats for WWE house shows. That means to me that since it’s Starrcade branded that it will be some sort of television event and they’ll have the take-home chairs that everybody gets to take home when they sit ringside at a pay-per-view. So my gut feeling is that Starrcade will air live on WWE Network this year.”

He did note that he’s waiting to hear back from WWE, but Johnson did make a very good point about pricing.
Only time will tell what WWE does, after all they could essentially air every house show on the WWE Network if they wanted to. But with a card like the one they have lined up for Starrcade, they might want to air it just in case we get a big title change in Cincy.
