As of this writing there are nine matches confirmed for Sunday’s Hell in a Cell event. Of those matches, two bout on the card feature cell matches but neither of them involve any women talents.
When asked why WWE didn’t book Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte for the SmackDown Women’s Championship during the latest installment of PWInsider Elite Audio, Mike Johnson revealed that Vince McMahon is the reason for that match not taking place inside the cell.

“Vince didn’t want one, that’s why. They wanted Orton vs. Hardy in the cell, it’s that simple.”

If you recall, the female’s Hell in a Cell match at last year’s event got bad reviews and many felt it was a failure. It will be interesting to see if Vince will ever allow the women to compete in the cell match again in the future.
