Velveteen Dream might want Vince to call him up, but before he gets the call from McMahon he wants to do some pretty cool stuff while he can. Dream is scheduled to face Austin Theory in an upcoming EVOLVE show on September 7th and some people were wondering why the NXT Superstar is working an indie show.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Velveteen Dream working an indie show had nothing to do with heat, in fact, it was Dream’s idea.
They are running a show in Joppa Maryland where Dream started his pro wrestling career while being trained at Maryland Championship Wrestling. Lio Rush came from the same fed and they started together.
So fans of Dream shouldn’t worry because working in the main event against Austin Theory at an EVOLVE show was his idea because he wanted to stop by his old stomping grounds.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
