With only five days away, a last minute audible has just been called for one of UFC 228’s preliminary matchups. 29-year old Ryan Benoit will no longer be competing against Roberto Sanchez due to an undisclosed injury according to MMA Fighting. Benoit will be replaced by Jarred Brooks, who was last seen in the octagon against Jose Torres back in June. Brooks attempted a slam onto Torres but landed awkwardly on his own head and would go on to lose the bout by knockout because of it. He made the announcement earlier today on his social media.
Meanwhile, Sanchez is looking to improve his MMA record to 8-1 in only his third UFC fight. Here is the new updated UFC 228 card.
