Recently, WWE announced the first match for it’s all women’s pay-per-view Evolution that will take place in the October of this year.

Trish Stratus will come out of retirement to take on Alexa Bliss in a dream match. This news got a lot of people really hyped since this would be Stratus’ first singles match in a long time.

However, Brad Shepard revealed on Barn Burner’s Fired Up podcast that some officials within WWE are really disappointed with the breaking of this news.

Apparently, officials are of the opinion that the announcement about Stratus’ return to the company was very weak and failed to make the impact that it needed to.

Interestingly enough, Joe, I was talking with a source in WWE this week and they were mentioning how a lot of people internally within the company were not happy with how WWE broke the news that Trish Stratus would be returning in a match against Alexa Bliss at Evolution.

And the feedback was that you’ve got one of the greatest of all time female wrestler in the WWE, a Hall of Famer, coming out of retirement after years [and] she was one of the hottest acts in her prime and they should have made this a big deal, they should have let this play out. Instead, it was just kinda dropped like it was no big deal. That has some people upset in the company.
