Dolph Ziggler and Seth Rollins kicked off the main SummerSlam card last night in Brooklyn, and Rollins ended up walking off with the IC Title after around a two-five minute match. Some fans were wondering what happened, especially with Ambrose back in the picture to either back up Seth or stab him in the back.

Joe Peisich from Barnburner’s Fired Up podcast said the reason why Ziggler lost the title might have had more to do with him and less to do with the fact Dean Ambrose was back in time for SummerSlam.

“Dolph Ziggler has not re-signed with WWE. He did have a meeting today about his contract situation. They offered him a deal and he didn’t accept it. No wonder why he dropped the title.”

It looks like Ziggler might not be taking off immediately, but he did only sign a short-term extension, so who knows how long it was actually so?
