Ricochet’s name will be a huge deal in WWE soon enough, but he needs to make it through NXT first. Ricochet suffered a bad bump in Paris a couple months ago and he’s been sitting out of live events for the past 7 weeks because of it.

He’s set to take on Adam Cole at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn and only time will tell if NXT puts the title on him which would free up Cole to pursue other interests. The only issue might be that Ricochet is still hurt.

It was noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Ricochet is “wrestler fine” even though they did a beatdown angle on NXT TV to write him out of the angles.

“He did a dive in Paris and I think he hurt his shoulder. So he worked one of the England shows, he’s worked a couple matches since then, only two or three since then.”

“As best as I can tell there’s no question that he’ll be wrestling Adam Cole, that match isn’t in doubt.”

So it looks like one match for TakeOver is still on even though Ricochet might not be 100% for the big event.
