Aleister Black’s injury really messed up the plans for NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn because the plan was for him to get another crack at his title in Brooklyn.

Therefore, since Black is out of the picture, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano will battle in a last man standing match.

It was noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the NXT TakeOver: Chicago confrontation was supposed to be a last man standing match, but the main roster booked a last man standing match for Money In The Bank between Nakamura and Hardy.

It was noted that we’re not going to see a three-way at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn. It will be a singles match without anyone else involved. Therefore, you can probably still expect the roof to be blown off the building thanks to Gargano and Ciampa, but this last man standing match is sure to be well worth the wait.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
