Former NXT Champion Aleister Black will no longer be competing at Takeover Brooklyn IV due to an attack that occurred in the parking lot of Full Sail University. The suspect is still very much at large. (or should I say…at Lars? Thank you I’ll be here all week.) The timing couldn’t have been worse for Black, who was preparing to main event the upcoming supercard at the Barclay’s Center in a triple-threat against Johnny Gargano and Tommasso Ciampa for the NXT title.

This isn’t the first time an NXT talent was pulled from a potential title match. Back in 2015 prior to Takeover: Unstoppable, Hideo Itami was scheduled for a #! contenders triple-threat match against opponents Finn Balor and Tyler Breeze. However, Itami was also attacked in the Full Sail parking lot, and was pulled from the match due to damage to his shoulder. (He ended up getting surgery on it.) After hearing about what happened to Black, Itami took to Twitter to poke fun at the situation.

The assailant was never found in that case. Who do you think could have attacked Aleister RingSide? Sound off in the comments.
