While it was indicated last week via Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live that Aleister Black may have suffered some sort of groin injury that shouldn’t keep him off Takeover, Dave Meltzer is now saying differently.

Meltzer took to his message board on Wrestling Observer’s website and said that the injury “it’s more serious than that,” seemingly indicating that he could still be pulled from the match.

Black is currently scheduled to face Ciampa and Johnny Gargano in a triple threat match at Takeover next week and WWE has yet to pull Black from the match.

We will keep you updated if we receive any additional details on Black’s status.
