The idea of WWE holding an all-female pay-per-view event would fit in line with the Women’s Revolution in a big way. Now it looks like Stephanie McMahon is set for a big announcement tonight and plenty of people are thinking that’s what she will be announcing.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that he’s heard those rumors too about an all-female WWE Network Special. He also noted that if WWE did this, then it wouldn’t be exclusive to just the main roster talent either.

“Ther have definitely been rumors about an all-women pay-per-view which would include NXT women. Because I don’t think there’s enough to pull off a full pay-per-view. They have some really good women in NXT. The thing is the rumor is it will be in October because there’s not pay-per-view except for the Austrailia show and the Austrailia show is in the middle of the night. So it adds up that you would do something in October.”

Meltzer said they could include the Mae Young Classic finals as part of the special and there’s no real reason not to do the pay-per-view at this point.
