Big Indie Wrestling Star Could Be WWE Bound

If you’ve ever seen Matt Riddle perform then you know how different he is. It’s a wonder that WWE hasn’t snatched up the MMA cross-over athlete sooner. Not it looks like Riddle could be getting closer to finally arriving to WWE.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Riddle has canceled upcoming dates and discussed that it looks like Matt Riddle could be on his way to WWE.

“Yeah, he’s probably WWE-bound. It’s time. I don’t want to say he was languishing but unless he was going to do Ring Of Honor which he wasn’t going to do or New Japan he might as well be in WWE. It’s his time to be a Superstar and he should be a Superstar somewhere with visibility. He’s done the European stuff for a long time. He’s great at it I think in NXT he’ll do phenomenal.”

At this point, NXT is getting very full once again. Especially with Ricochet, Adam Cole, Keith Lee, and everyone else they have down there. But Matt Riddel could be the top guy in NXT including a lot of other top guys.
