Former WWE Champion Roman Reigns clashed with Bobby Lashley at Extreme Rules just last week, but it appears the opinion from ‘The Big Dog’ may have changed. In the lead-up to their match, Reigns and Lashley both claimed not to respect the other competitor- but both seem to have formed a level of respect after their bout.

Reigns recently spoke with NBC Sports Radio’s Helen Yee, where he had the opportunity to discuss his opinion on Lashley and what his personal thoughts are in reference to Lashley’s run so far this time around in WWE.

When asked to comment on the rivalry, Reigns explained that it is still new- with Lashley being victorious at Extreme Rules being the beginning. The two are also scheduled to face off again next week after both being victorious in Triple Threat qualifying matches this past week on RAW.

“To be honest the rivalry with Bobby Lashley is pretty new. Two nights ago at Extreme Rules, we had a singles match and he beat me. You know, he got the better of me the other night.

“We both had triple threat matches in order to earn an opportunity to be the #1 contender to take on Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. So we’re gonna meet next week and go at it again. This time I have a better feel for him and hopefully, it’ll be a better result for me.”

Reigns believes Lashley had a rocky return to the company. This is the same sentiment felt by many fans after Lashley’s feud with Sami Zayn.

“From the get-go, I think it was a little rocky. I think he’s really settled in and he’s getting comfortable and you could tell that it seems like he’s starting to feel at home again. When you leave WWE and you move around a little bit you can kinda get out of the shake of things.

“It seems like he’s really getting comfortable. He had a great showing on Sunday, next Monday’s not gonna be the same.”
