Fight Could Be Pulled from UFC 227 Event

It doesn’t appear that Volkan Oezdemir will be facing Alexander Gustafsson at the upcoming UFC 227 event.

ESPN’s Ariel Helwani reports that Oezdemir suffered a broken nose and will be unable to compete on August 4th at UFC 227. The search for Gustafsson’s replacement opponent is underway.

UFC has apparently reached out to Yoel Romero, Luke Rockhold, and Ovince Saint Preux but none of them are able to take the fight due various reasons.
