WrestleMania 34 is in the books, and man what a marathon it was. One of the biggest highlights of the entire night was the debut of Ronda Rousey, and all the expectations and standards that were placed on her shoulders. She more than met those standards, and one could even argue her match with Kurt against Hunter and Stephanie was MOTN. Afterwards, she caught up with ESPN to reflect on her first performance on the biggest stage in WWE, and immediately thanked the fans for accepting her the way they did.

I owe the WWE universe an apology, because I thought they were going to boo me out of the building from day one. They really accepted me from day one. Hopefully, I satisfied a lot of skeptics tonight. I underestimated how kind the WWE universe would be. I thought any outsiders would be shunned. I was expecting to get shunned and to have to battle to be accepted. I worked my ass off to pay respect to what’s so important to them, and hopefully they saw that tonight. I’m just so grateful, man. I’m trying my best to deserve it.

It’s humbling to see how grateful Rousey is. Whether you love her or hate her, she shined like a star yesterday, and I look forward to more of her time in the ring if she brings the same energy and charisma she brought yesterday.
