Sometime shortly after that, Mahal decided to change his ways and make another run in the business. He has transformed his body into one of the most impressive physiques in the wrestling business, and he has been rewarded with the WWE Championship. McIntyre was backstage when Mahal won the Title and he was the first person in the Gorilla Position to congratulate him after the match.

Jericho points out that out of the three members of 3MB, the only member who survived that initial round of cuts was Heath Slater. He says if you lined up Slater, Mahal and McInyre, there aren’t maybe people who would choose to keep Slater in their wrestling promotion over the other two.

McIntyre informs that he wanted to work in Japan after leaving WWE, but there simply wasn’t room for him over there at that time. He began working the indie circuit and was making as much money as he did in WWE, and then he received a call from TNA. He told TNA officials that he didn’t want to be on television anywhere, and he was having a good time building his reputation on the indie scene.
